Rooted in deep scientific enrichment, STEMTASTIC’s learner-centered philosophy puts student interests and passions at the heart of our curriculum. This guiding principle informs everything we do – from refining our STEAM teaching to incorporating parent feedback on enrichment programs and developing innovative STEAM classes. Our “Learning by Doing, Growing by Thinking ” approach, embraced by us as both educators and parents, is fundamental to the STEMTASTIC experience, evident in our STEAM curriculum and the engaging hands-on learning in secure laboratory environments.
Our biology-centered camp programs are designed with a clear long-term vision in mind: to ignite a lasting passion for the natural world and foster the next generation of scientific thinkers and environmental stewards. From foundational concepts to advanced explorations, our programs are stepping stones towards a deeper understanding and appreciation of life on Earth.
STEMTASTIC introduces fundamental biological concepts while encouraging campers to ask big questions, laying the groundwork for a lifelong journey of scientific discovery.
Through hands-on research and field investigations at STEMTASTIC, campers develop critical thinking skills and learn the scientific method, essential tools for future scientific endeavors.”
Our learning environment is designed to inspire curiosity and creativity, fostering a love for exploration while supporting every child’s.
Invest in Their Future

Our in-person biology camp offers an immersive, hands-on experience in a real laboratory setting. We go beyond textbooks, allowing middle and high school students to actively explore biological concepts through exciting experiments, dissections (age-appropriate and optional), microscopy, and fieldwork (if applicable to your program). Our goal is to spark curiosity, build scientific skills, and foster a deeper understanding of the living world.
This camp is designed for curious and enthusiastic middle and high school students (typically grades 7-12) who have an interest in biology, nature, and science. No prior advanced biology knowledge is required – just a willingness to learn and explore!

While the exact schedule may vary by day and theme, a typical day includes hands-on laboratory sessions, engaging discussions, potential outdoor explorations (if applicable), breaks, and opportunities for Q&A with instructors. We prioritize active learning and experimentation
While our camp curriculum goes beyond standard classroom learning by emphasizing hands-on exploration, the core biological concepts we cover are aligned with many middle and high school science standards. Our goal is to enrich and enhance their understanding of these topics in a more engaging and memorable way.
We maintain a low student-to-instructor ratio [1:5] to ensure individual attention, safety, and effective guidance during experiments.
Our instructors are passionate and knowledgeable individuals with backgrounds in biology, science education, or related fields. Many hold advanced degrees and have experience working with students in a laboratory or educational setting. They are dedicated to creating a fun, engaging, and educational learning environment
Students are supervised by our instructors at all times during camp activities, including lab sessions, breaks, and any outdoor explorations. We have clear protocols for student check-in and check-out.
Typically, campers should bring a water bottle, comfortable closed-toe shoes, a notebook and pen/pencil, lunch and/or snack and any required personal medications (with necessary forms). Specific items may vary depending on the camp theme, and we will provide a detailed packing list before the start of the session.
No, food will not be provided at the camp. Campers are encouraged to bring their own lunch and/or snack and notify the camp instructors of any dietary restrictions/practices/allergies that they might have.
Please inform us of any allergies or medical conditions during the registration process. We will work with you to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for your child. We require detailed information and any necessary action plans or medications.

Safety is our top priority. We maintain a safe laboratory environment with clear safety protocols that all campers and instructors follow. This includes the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, goggles, and lab coats, proper handling of materials, and thorough safety briefings before each activity. Our instructors are trained in laboratory safety procedures.
Your child will gain a deeper understanding of fundamental biological concepts through direct experience. They will develop essential scientific skills such as observation, data collection, analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving. They will also learn how to use laboratory equipment and work collaboratively in a scientific setting. The specific learning outcomes will vary depending on the camp theme.
Campers need to be dropped off at the designated drop off location of the camp hosting school 10 minutes before the camp start time. Camp staff will receive the campers at the entrance. Parents need to pick their children from the designated pick up zone exactly at the camp end time. Camp instructors will not
be responsible for staying late to accompany the students for late pick ups. Pick and drop off locations will be communicated to parents via email before the camp start dates.
